The Olonets National Museum of Livvi-Karelians is the first regional museum of Karelia.It was opened in 1959 on the initiative of an enthusiast, a local history expert. The museum is situated in a wooden, two-storey building which previously was a house owned by the trader Kuttuev. The museum building is a historical-cultural monument of Republic-wide significance.
