By public transport: train and shuttle bus
If you have decided to come to us by train, then you should come from Petrozavodsk to the Medvezhya Gora railway station.

Next to the railway station is the bus station, where you should find a shuttle bus.
The shuttle bus Medvezhyegorsk — Maslozero goes through Padany. The bus is scheduled only three times a week, and the shuttle bus departs only once a day at 16.00.
You can find a taxi in the square outside the station.

Travel time is approximately three hours.
If you have decided to come by your own car, you should be aware that you will have to travel for 80 km along a dirt road which is not of the best quality.
From Petrozavodsk take Route M18 St. Petersburg — Murmansk to the town of Medvezhyegorsk. Without entering the town, at the junction by the service station, turn onto Route A132 and drive in the direction of Yustozero. You can take this paved road to the settlement Chebino, then leave Route A132 towards Padany along a dirt road. You should pass these settlements: Ostrechye, Karelskaya Maselga, and Evgora.
If you travel from the north along Route M18 Murmansk — St. Petersburg, you can travel to the town of Segezha. Without entering the town, near the cafe Trassa, turn onto the dirt road in the direction of Padany. You should pass Voldozero and Shalgovaara village.
There are no service stations or garages near Segozerye! Make sure to stock up on petrol while on the Route M18. There are no food service outlets along the road to Padany or in the village itself.
In terms of mobile communication, services are offered by the operator Megafon, but there is no steady signal along the whole way, and in places, there is no signal at all.
